As part of Mental Health Month, we’re proud to be hosting an Art Exhibition showcasing original works created by our community.
This year’s theme is:
Taking Steps on My Wellbeing Journey
We invite our customers to submit artwork that reflects their personal experiences with mental health and wellbeing. What does your path to wellness look like? What helps you keep going? Whether it’s recovery, resilience, or self-discovery, every journey matters.

Call for Entries – Open to Hume Customers Only
Entries are now open exclusively to customers of Hume Community Housing, you may be a tenant, accessing support or working with Hume for any reason.
All submissions will be displayed at the East Maitland Library on the event day. Entries should respond to the theme “Steps on My Wellbeing Journey” and can be in any format suitable for hanging or display.
Entries Close: 6th of October
Creative Growth Scholarship – Prize Announcement
The top 3 submissions will be awarded a Creative Growth Scholarship; a flexible funding prize designed to support your ongoing artistic and wellbeing journey.
1st $500 / 2nd $200 / 3rd $100
This prize can be used toward:
· Purchasing art materials or tools
· Attending workshops or creative courses
· Accessing mentoring or support services
· Anything that furthers your personal or creative development
How to Enter
To submit your artwork complete the attached submission form, be sure to include information on your piece of art, have your dimensions known and read the terms and conditions associated with submission.
You will be required to drop your artwork off for it to be displayed and collect within 3 weeks after the exhibition. Please contact us if you have any questions or need additional support.
All art forms are welcome such as paintings, drawing, photography, digital art, or mixed media so long as the work can be safely exhibited.
